The Establishment Melbourne and Mannhaus are excited to present the first ever Mannhaus Session for AWOL 2021 - “A Brief History of Melbourne Leather”.
Please join us as we welcome two very well-known Melbourne Leather personalities who will recount some of the highlights of Melbourne’s Gay Men’s Leather history in this evening of reminiscing and storytelling.
Introduced by Master Dee (Mr International Transgender Leather 2014/16), and presented by two men who know their history, Master Laurie Lane and Tim Hughes (aka Bootblack Tim), this promises to be a great night.
Our guests share both a diversity of experience and a brotherhood born of a time when LGBTI folk and Leathermen in particular lacked the freedoms and safety we now enjoy; when knowing who your community was and how to find them both at home and further afield was critical.
Funds raised from this evening will go towards supporting the Leather Archives and Museum in Chicago.
